Adele is ready for her career to come full circle! As you might have heard by now, the talented singer is set to host Saturday Night Live next!
That’s right! Adele, along with musical guest H.E.R. are expected to host the live comedy show on October 24 and she could not be any more excited and here’s why!
The news was revealed by SNL earlier today and Adele was quick to share her thoughts and feelings on her IG account right after, explaining why exactly this is going to be a ‘full circle moment’ for her.
She wrote: ‘Bloooooody hellllll I am so excited about this!! My first ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!! I have always wanted to do it as a stand-alone moment, so I could roll up my sleeves and throw myself into it fully, but the time’s never been right. But if there was ever a right time for any of us to jump headfirst into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it is 2020 right?’
Adele went on to share with her followers that ‘It’ll be almost 12 years to the day I first appeared on the show, during an election…which went on to break out my career in America, so it feels full circle and I just could not possibly say no! I am besides myself that H.E.R will be the musical guest!! I love her SO much I cannot wait to melt into a flaming hot mess when she performs, then confuse myself while I laugh my arse off in between it all. See you next week ♥️🤞🏻.’

Sure enough, Adele appeared on Saturday Night Live for the first time on October 18, 2008, which means that she just missed the anniversary by a week since the 17th was this past Saturday.
But, of course, it’s still close enough to the date and given the political climate, it really does feel like a full circle situation that she just couldn’t have said no to.
